How-to: Battery, Memory and Standby Functions on the ZTE Score M

Posted: 28 Mar 2012 07:00 PM PDT

Charging the battery

The rechargeable Li-ion battery that comes with your phone is ready to use but is not charged. That's easy to do. The first three times you use the battery, make sure it's completely drained before recharging and then recharge it fully. That will help to ensure its optimum performance and a long life.

1. Connect the charger to your phone and plug it into an 110V/220V socket.
2. The battery indicator in the corner of the screen will scroll up and down to show you it's charging. Please don't worry if the phone and charger become warm while charging. That's completely normal.
3. When fully charged, the battery indicator will stop scrolling.
4. Disconnect the charger from your mobile and unplug.

Inserting the battery

1. Open the battery cover on the back of your phone.
2. Align the battery's contact points with those of the phone and gently press the battery down into place.
3. Replace the battery cover clicking it back into position.

Removing the battery

1. Switch off your phone.
2. Open the battery cover.
3. Lift the battery up and out of your phone.

Inserting a memory card

1. Open the memory card cover on the right side of the phone and insert a memory card.
2. Push tightly until the card is installed in the right position and close the cover.
3. Before you take out the card, please open the cover and press the card inward to unlock.

Switch to sleep mode

Sleep mode is a kind of power-saving mode, which prevents against inadvertent operations. If your phone has been in idle mode for a while, it will automatically switch to sleep mode. You can also press the Power key to turn off the screen and enable sleep mode. Within 15 minutes after the screen is switched to Sleep mode, the network will automatically disconnect; as the screen is awakened from Sleep mode, the network will connect again.

Wake up your phone

After the phone switches to sleep mode, the screen will be turned off and locked. In this case please awake your phone and unlock the screen if you want to use your phone.

1. Press the Power key to turn on the screen.
2. Drag the icon to the right to unlock the screen. If you've set an unlock pattern or password, you need to draw the unlock pattern or input the password to enter the main interface. (For details, please see Settings > Location & security > Set up screen lock > Pattern/Password).

Parental control~

Posted: 28 Mar 2012 01:34 AM PDT

It is known that sex offenders and other stalkers like to seduce children through web sites and chatting. Attracting them in, pretending to be their friends. Soon they exchange their numbers with the so-called trustful relationship. Along with reason, messages and calls pass between them as well.
So a mobile spy to install on their cell phones is necessary.

Posted: 26 Mar 2012 04:43 PM PDT

Just want to know how long someone that is calling you has to wait, if you are not available and the phone is on, before it goes to voicemail. 10 seconds? 20 seconds? 40 seconds?

Didnt see a poll option but there may be one . . .

Who can sell me a cell phone that picks up after 2 rings?

Posted: 24 Mar 2012 12:20 PM PDT

I am in need of a cell phone that can go to the answering message after 2 rings. All cell phone carriers and all their phones seem to have removed this option and only answer after 5-6-7 rings which is 30 seconds too long. The custom setting to change the number of rings before it goes to a message is no longer there. But that's what I need, maybe there is some older or really basic model that does this, I don't know, I cant be the only business that needs this function, for customers not having to wait forever before leaving a message or hanging up after 5-6 rings assuming you aren't there. Contact me, I want to give you money and sign a contract!

Thanks, Roger

Makeshift poll: Can your cell phone record audio? Do they make phones that can record audio?

Posted: 23 Mar 2012 05:47 PM PDT

Hi everyone

I was told that some cell phones out there can record audio. Is that really true? Perhaps they have what is called voice memo? I don't know...I don't know what to think because I've never owned a cell phone that could record audio. I've owned cell phones that can take pictures and record video footage, sure you betcha, but not record audio. Think of this thread as a poll: Does your cell phone have the ability to record audio? And if it can, what is the maximum amount of run time you have available to you? In other words, what is the maximum length of time you have available to record audio, would it be something like a ridiculously short minute or two or would it be a really nice user-friendly one hour length of time? Either way I'm interested in knowing if there are cell phones that can record audio and what, generally speaking, would be the average, maximum length of recording time available to the user.

Thank you :)

The First MIUI Phone, M1 MIUI - 1.5GHz Dual-Core Scorpion And $396.99 Price Tag Blow Us Away

Posted: 20 Mar 2012 11:59 PM PDT

MIUI, one of Android's most popular custom ROM flavors, has been limited to purely software for existing devices... until today. Made by a Chinese company Xiaomi which has been in charge of MIUI's software development, the MIUI phone was just announced in China, and I must say - it's no hush puppy and leaves us highly impressed.

First and foremost, the M1 MIUI, sports a whopping 1.5GHz dual-core MSM8260 Scorpion CPU (from the 3rd generation Snapdragon family). Dissecting the beefy specs further, we find the Adreno220 GPU, 4GB of ROM and 1GB of RAM, a 4" Sharp screen (854x480 - not qHD), 8MP rear camera, and a juicy 1930mAh battery. Did I mention an unlocked bootloader and (duh) MIUI OS, which is currently based on Android 2.3. The price $396.99 is only valid in China.

And that, folks, is how you make an affordable phone more powerful than what most of us had in our desktops only a few years ago, and some even now.

I see all these offer Ads on the internet that goes like

Subscription cost $13.20 every 2 days + $13.20 join. 25c per message sent.
Does that means if I subscript I'd be spending like $200 a month?
