iPhone is popular now, and there are also have many accessories for iPhone. Normally, we can see the cables, tips, cases, and chargers. Unlock the Huawei Ascend G300

Hey everyone,

This is the popular Huawei phone that most people would have heard about around here. The Ascend G300 is really the first Huawei phone to put the company on the map and for good reason. It has a powerful 1GHz processor, decent sized 4 inch screen (which Apple seem to think it the perfect size for a smartphone) and it has Android.

That last features means that the phone can also really easily be unlocked.

What is unlocking?

For anyone who doesn't know what that means or is a little hazy on the subject - it means that once unlocked, the phone will be able to work on any compatible network. Most phones are bought directly from a specific network and subsequently locked to that network. From that point on, the phone will only then work with SIM cards from that network, effectively restricting you and future owners of the phone to their service.

However, unlocking removes this lock on the phone that is preventing you from switching, offering you the opportunity to switch to a lower cost or preferred network. Even to a local network when you travel internationally, saving you from international roaming charges.

So how do you unlock the Ascend G300?

Very easily. First you need an unlock code. These are unique to each phone based on the IMEI (type *#06# to find yours on the phones keypad).

Then follow these steps:

1. Insert a non-accepted SIM card
2. The G300 will prompt you for the unlock code
3. Enter it here and press "OK" or "Enter"

Voila! It really is a simple thing.

Rooting VX4G Wireless Cell Phone

Hey,

I just got a ZTE Origin Android from VX4gWireless.com its a cheap cell phone plan with unlimited 4g mobile service and I want to stay with them because it comes with an affiliate program where I can refer people and any sales I get then I can erase my phone bill plus make money!

But I also want to root my phone and not get in trouble. I rooted my last phone which was with Boost (which sucked, since I still could never access Facebook or the internet) but it did get me memory and I was able to delete applications.

Firstly I have noticed that on this phone from this company, which I got the $149 ZTE Origin Blue Android, there is no "delete app" area even in a greyed out way. When I rooted my prevail there was a delete thingy that turned "ungrey" so I'm not even sure with rooting if I will be able to delete apps.

So far I haven't had any memory problems but I remember with my Prevail that it can happen with Androids so I'm looking ahead to rooting.

Has anyone successfully rooted the VX4G Wireless Androids, were you able to delete apps, how did you do it and did it affect your service or did the company get mad? Thanks

Samsung SGH-A167 Bad Home Reception with Pure TalkUSA

Would a different phone provide better in-home reception? And if so, which phone?

I have tried various (always the chapey free phones) phones and services - Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile. I am tired of bad in-home reception. Plus, my mom no longer uses the phone because she cannot hear people when calling from home.

What phone would help?

I am told that I can get a cell phone that uses a SIM card, my Droid X does not, and by putting the sim card from my cell phone into the sim slot on my FAU-200 Satellite phone (or the Globalstar SIM to the Cell phone) I can then use it to talk by way of the nearest cell tower on my cell account, but if there is no cell tower within range it will automatically switch to the Globalstar satellite constellation and complete the call by satelite.

I already have an account with Globalstar and one with Verizon.

Any one have any experience with this.

So I am in the market for a new phone; however I am not sure what direction to go in. I will provide what I am looking for in the phone :).

Speed, am using a moto dext slider and it sucks, its soo slow, around 1 min to send a text and 2 or 3 to view emails lol.
music player capabilities
good camera for both video and stills
stable net browser
voice command
calendar features with the ability to book meetings ect using voice commands
navigation
able to run apps or widgets depending on OS with speed, and high image quality
the ability to sync photo's, calendar ect to pc with ease

I think that is about it. I have been told I should go with either the galaxy s3 or i5, but I have not been able to play around with either atm so I hope someone ca give me some advice :)

i found this camera module somewhere with my electronic components and don't remember from which phone i took it. i suspect that it uses serial interface maybe rs232.

i give a drawing with all the writings indications on the module.

top it is written 550i , V2.
bottom under the module interface pins it is written 0352 , COMPEQ , some mark sign , 94V-0
