Notes on cell phone

Posted: 07 May 2011 04:25 AM PDT

Does anyone know of a good ordinary cell phone that also would be useful for writing small notes. I have been using a Nokia 6070 where there is such a function., however, the problem always was that the memory of the phone is very limited. Thus, what I need is a phone with (1) a program designed for writing notes and (2) an option of using a memory card. I have been lookin at phones like Noka 2330 and 2700, but unfortunately the notes-function seems to have disappeared in these, there is only something called "to-do", which might not at all be what I am looking for,

When I speak about notes, I simply mean an option of writing down any ideas you might get when you are walking and don't want to carry notebooks around. Does not have to be qwerty. Does not have to be a Nokia, but I am looking for something below 100 euros, I don't need fancy Internet options and things like that,

Help me choose a CARRIER (and plan)

Posted: 06 May 2011 07:57 AM PDT

I pretty much know what phones are available that fit my choices - but I need some advice on figuring out what CARRIER (and plan) I should pick.

My choice comes down to Sprint or Verizon. Because of where I live, ATT's service is dismal and I won't be going with them.

  • The carrier/plan will need to cover 2 4G Android phones (or if Vz, 1 Android & 1 iPhone)
  • unlimited text
  • unlimited data is not necessary as virtually every stationary place we go has 802.11x wireless, but it needs to allow enough for 'being out and about"
  • assuming cell:cell minutes are unlimited, a combined 500 minutes/month is plenty

My wife is currently on ATT w/ an iPhone. She loves her iPhone...
I am currently on Sprint on the old SERO plan.

Both of our contracts are up - we're on 'month to month'. Both of our phones are eligable for upgrade (meaning, we get a discount on a new phone if we stay with the current carrier).

I have heard that Sprint has a "new SERO" plan that I can get if I call customer service...

New phone recommendtaions?

Posted: 05 May 2011 03:54 AM PDT

Hi. I am looking for a phone to replace my Touch Pro2. I know it's a relatively new phone, but I would like to replace it as it is incredibly slow (a common issue, and yes, I have disabled touch flo3D). I would like a windows mobile phone, but HTC jumped away from WinMo to WP7 (which I find to be more featureless than iOS). I don't mind android, but the phone must have a slide out landscape keyboard such as the desire z, touch pro2, touch pro, HTC Wizard, etc.
thanks for any ideas :)

Cell phone buffering

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 07:44 PM PDT

Hi,

T-Mobile is currently running commercials where they claim that there new 4G network eliminates pauses in video downloads caused by buffering. I have Verizon, and at least on my cell phone, pauses in video play caused by buffering or whatever, is a way of life. Does anyone know if T-Mobile really eliminates pauses in video play caused by buffering?

Thanks!
