Help with LG-LU6200

I recently got this phone for my girlfriend.
Its android 2.3.5
baseband version msm8660/mdm9600
kernal version 2.6.35.11-perf
build GRj90

I think this is a Korean phone because some of the icons are in Korean. Is there any way to make this phone work on a USA based Metro PCS or T-Mobile?
I think its an AT&T phone now. Shes an American girl so is there any way to make this phone fully American?

Can I update this and make it 100% American? Will the ice cream sandwich update do it?

Need to switch to a GSM Phone and or Carrier

I currently am on the Sprint network but I often travel to Vietnam and I want to be able to just pop out my SIM and use a SIM over there from a company like Vinaphone and would like to know if Sprint has any SIM phones and if not should I switch to AT&T or T-Mobile.

I really like and want to get a Galaxy S3 when my contract allows in June 2013, or even an S4 if they release one between then and now.

Hi, I bought a Samsung Galaxy 2 from Straight Talk. I notice I do not the option to tether the phone but my sister has a Galaxy 2 from AT&T and she does have that option. What must I do to be able to tether.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus - Verizon on straight talk?

I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus phone currently active on Verizon. I am going to terminate the contract and pay the early termination fee. When I do so would I be able to activate this phone on Straight talk, either on Verizon or on one of their other carriers ( I believe Sprint is the other choice here)?

Does anybody know if there's such a thing as a battery meter app that sits on my front screen to monitor battery percentage?

On Android there's loads but they seem like nobody has bothered to create one for WP 7.5 Mango.
