Best Network Local Coverage Website?

Posted: 05 Jan 2013 11:37 AM PST

Will be moving from New York City to rural Catskills which is hilly and mountainous with spotty coverage for all Networks so am trying to do my homework before getting a phone.

A more knowledgeable friend said a coverage over a geographic map is the best for hilly/mountainous areas because of shadows/dead spots.

Before posting checked the forum to see if anyone had asked a similar question but found no mention of coverage over a geographic map.

Then Googled and found

Root Wireless ...reviews.cnet.com/cell-phone-coverage-map/

CellReception.com ...cellreception.com/ which has "Cell Phone Towers Locate cell phone towers in the neighborhood, who owns them, and see exactly where they are hidden. The database contains FCC registered antennas nationwide We've taken towers registered with the FCC and mashed it with Google Maps for a convenient graphical interface to see towers within your area.

Unfortunately, not every antenna is needs to be registered with the FCC, and the map may not list all the towers in the area. But most are included.

In additional, many carriers "rent" towers from third-party companies -- and leasing agreements are unknown. If this is the case, the best way to determine carrier coverage is by reading comments in the local area. To see details, including who owns the tower, click on the red marker and the link that pops up in the bubble."

This is the best I have found to date but am wondering if anyone has found anything better?

Thanks

Matilda

Cell phone with 2 numbers to make/receive calls in and out. Is this possible?

If I have a company phone (iphone) and a personal phone number, is there a way I can attach my personal number to my company phone?

I would like to receive calls and be able to make calls using my personal number.
