How-to: Transfer Contacts from an iPhone to the Alcatel OneTouch POP C5 or POP C7

Posted: 09 May 2014 06:01 AM PDT

Transferring Contacts using iTunes:

One of the most common methods of contact transfer is through iTunes. The software allows you to sync contacts from your iPhone with a Google account, allowing you in turn to sync the contacts from the Google account with your Android smartphone. This method of transfer requires access to a computer connected to the Internet, and iTunes installed.

  1. Open iTunes on the computer (NOTE: if you don't have iTunes, you can download it for free from Apple's website)
  2. Establish a connection between your computer and iPhone via USB
  3. The iPhone will appear in iTunes once it successfully connects
  4. Click on the iPhone to view the handset's summary page
  5. Go to the "Info" tab and mark the "Sync Contacts With" check box
  6. From the drop-down menu, select "Google Contacts"
  7. Enter your Google account's username and password. NOTE: assuming that you have already added a Google account in iTunes, you can click "Configure" and select it from the list
  8. Allow iTunes to sync the contacts, by clicking "Apply"
  9. After that's done, register the same Google account on the OneTouch POP, by going to "Settings" > "Accounts"
  10. Set the Google account so that it can sync contacts with your Android smartphone

Using iCloud to Transfer Contacts:

If you've used the iCloud backup service on your phone before, then your contacts should be backed up on your iCloud account already. By accessing your account through a computer with Internet access, you can export these contacts in the form of a vCard file. After that, you can easily import the contacts on your Android phone, as follows:

  1. Launch the Internet browser on your computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your account
  3. Click "Contacts" and select the contacts that you wish to export
  4. Click the "Settings" icon located in the lower-left, depicting a cog wheel
  5. Select "Export vCard" and want for your computer to download the vCard file
  6. Import the file to "Google Contacts", or connect the OneTouch POP smartphone to your computer via USB, and copy the file to the "sdcard" directory. Then, launch the "contacts" application on your phone, and import the VCF file using the "Import / Export" function

Importing Contacts via "My Contacts Backup":

My Contacts Backup is an iOS application that can be used for transferring contacts, without needing access to a computer. The application is capable of creating a backup of all your iPhone contacts, which can then be sent to your Android device via email. To do so:

  1. Visit the App Store and install "My Contacts Backup" on your iPhone
  2. Open the application and tap "Backup". This will create a backup file containing all your iPhone contacts
  3. Once the file is created, tap "Email" to attach it to a new email
  4. Enter your own Gmail address as the email's recipient
  5. Send the email to your address
  6. On the Alcatel smartphone, open the email and download the attached file
  7. Import the file's contents using the "Import" function from the contacts application

Using "Send Anywhere" to Transfer Contacts:

"Send Anywhere" is a different application available on both iOS and Android, which allows you to transfer various file types including contacts, cross-platform. The application works using a P2P connection, so there's no need for a computer in order to perform the transfer.

  1. Go to the Google Play Store and install "Send Anywhere" on your Alcatel smartphone
  2. From the App Store, install the application on your iPhone
  3. Open the app on both devices
  4. From the iPhone, tap "Send" > "Contacts"
  5. Mark the contacts that you wish to transfer
  6. After you've selected the desired contacts, choose a method of transfer. You can tap "Receive" on the Alcatel OneTouch in order to enter the transfer code from the iPhone, or you can tap "Generate QR Code" on the iPhone and scan the bar code with your Alcatel's camera in order to commence the transfer

How-to: Transfer Contacts from an iPhone to the Huawei Ascend P7

Transferring Contacts Using iTunes:

With the help of iTunes you can easily transfer your iPhone contacts to the Huawei Ascend P7, by first syncing the contacts with your Google account. Synced contacts include the contact image, email, phone number, and any other details included within the contact. For this method of transfer, you are required to have access to a computer with Internet and iTunes installed.

  1. Open iTunes on your computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to the computer using the proprietary USB cable
  3. Once the iPhone is connected, it will appear in iTunes. Click it to view the summary page
  4. From there, go to the "info" tab
  5. Mark the check box next to "Sync Contacts With"
  6. From the drop-down menu, click "Google Contacts"
  7. Register your Google account in iTunes. If you have done so prior to following this guide, you can click "Configure" and select an existing account
  8. To begin the syncing process, click "Apply"
  9. Once the process is complete, register the Google account on your Ascend P7. NOTE: if you need to add an account, go to "Settings" > "Accounts"
  10. Set the Google account so that it can sync contacts with your Android device

Using iCloud to Transfer Contacts:

The iCloud backup service offers the possibility to export your backed up contacts in the form of a vCard file. If you've used iCloud on your iPhone before, your contacts should be already backed up on your account. By accessing it using a computer with Internet access, you can easily export your contacts as explained below:

  1. Launch the Internet browser on your computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Log in with your iCloud account
  4. Click "Contacts" to access the list of contacts
  5. Select the contacts that you wish to export
  6. When ready, click the icon depicting a "cog wheel" and select "Export vCard"
  7. A VCF file containing the selected contacts will be downloaded on your computer
  8. From here, you have two methods of importing the contacts on the Ascend P7:
    • Import the vCard file to "Google Contacts"
    • Connect the Huawei Ascend P7 to your computer via USB, and copy the VCF file to the phone's "sdcard" directory. Then, launch the contacts application, tap "Menu" > "Import / Export" > "SD Card" > "Next" > "Select an account" > "next" > select the vCard file and tap "OK"

Using "My Contacts Backup" to Transfer Contacts:

If you don't have access to a computer, you can still transfer your contacts by using third party applications, such as "My Contacts Backup". Using this app you can back up your contacts and send the backup file over to the Ascend P7 via email. To do so:

  1. Go to the App Store and download "My Contacts Backup" on the iPhone
  2. Open the application and tap "Backup". This will create a backup file containing all your iPhone contacts
  3. After the file has been created, tap "Email" to attach the file to a new email
  4. Send the email to your own Gmail address
  5. Open the email on the Huawei Ascend P7 and download the file to import its contents using the import / export function

Transferring Contacts through "Send Anywhere":

Last but not least, "Send Anywhere" is an iOS and Android app with the help of which you can transfer contacts and other types of files cross-platform. The application uses a P2P connection, so there's no requirement to have a computer with Internet access.

  1. Visit the Play Store and install "Send Anywhere" on your Huawei Ascend P7
  2. From the App Store, install the same application on your iPhone
  3. Launch the app on both devices
  4. On the iPhone, tap "Send" and choose "Contacts"
  5. Mark the contacts that you wish to send to the Ascend P7
  6. Once ready, select the desired method of transfer. You can tap "Generate QR Code" on the iPhone in order to generate a code that can be scanned with the Huawei Ascend P7's camera for the transfer process to commence. You can also tap "Receive" on the P7, and type in the randomly generated transfer code from the iPhone

Ambrose Electronics - Fraud Company - Be carefoul- Read how i cheated...

Posted: 05 May 2014 05:08 AM PDT

I' m from Greece and I would like to inform you regarding to an English company that sells cheap mobile phone devices. The name of company is Ambrose Electronics and their electronic address is amnatradeltd.com
I made to them an order for an iPhone 5 16 gb which it's price was 252 Euros. I paid for this in advance, to arrange the shipment immediately as they promised me but the same afternoon, they told me, that because the cost for taxes and insurance was more that they calculated, they sent to the same parcel three more iPhone 5S!!! They asked me to pay for the two of them and offered me the third one for free. When I denied, they told me, that in this case, it was necessary to send them as a guarantee one more deposit, for one iPhone 5s and when I would sent them back these three devices, they would sent me back my money. Of course I did not accept this neither. I asked them many times to send me the tracking number of my order to be sure for the shipment and they refused to give me even this. . They insisted that they will give me the tracking number only if I make the deposit in advance. I had done the first payment via western union and they asked me to do the second payment with the same way, without give them the MTCN number, so I could supposed take my money back after of delivery. Because I didn't trust their words, I called western union to ask if this is possible and they advised me, to not do any deposit, because this is a usually case of frauds!!! After of that, I called also to DHL courier offices in Greece (because they told me by mail that this was the cooperating courier company) and they confirmed me, that there was no shipment. When I told them my moves, they answered me that the western union's advice was good… but it was not for them and they told me, that I had to trust them that they would send me my second deposit back, as soon as they get back their rest three devices. They told me also that they didn't arrange the shipment via DHL because they are not… idiots!!! You can make your conclusions…
Finally, I asked them to cancel the order and send me back my money. Then, their answer was, that because the parcel with devices had reached already in the Greek company courier and remained there for the Weekend, they paid moreover money, which I supposed to debited also, so they told me that they didn't owe me nothing!!!
They insisted with big audacity and rudeness to send them one more deposit to deliver my order. They told me ironically that I do not have any other choice and that the one that will lose if this does not become, it will be me, because I would lose my money.
I explained them that the fault was not mine, because in the case that emerged more expenses for taxes and the insurance, they would simply inform me for these extras (which were 80 Euros) and not arrange to send me three more devices that I never ordered!!! I gave them many possible solutions, but their only answer to my arguments, was their insistence with very bad way, to send them the deposit. Of course I did not make other deposit; however, I lost the money that I had already given to them, because I did never receive the device that I paid for.
I advised of the Greek Police for the case, and they told me that they have official decree of the English police informing them, that they have no intention to check and punish, scams lower value of 4000 pounds. These Frauds know and exploit this. However, police told me, that we (deceived consumers), according to law, we have the right to public protest and protect the others from this scam.

So guys attention!!!!! Don't trust them!!!!! They are frauds and you will lose your money!!!!! Just stay away from them!!!!

p.s. I have all the proves for any case...

.
