Info: What phones can be used with Straight Talk?

Posted: 05 Feb 2013 12:20 PM PST

Straight Talk will work with a plethora of phones - they just have to be unlocked and have a GSM antenna (850 & 1900MHz). Basically that means any phone offered on AT&T or T-Mobile.

Notes:
  • Some phones are easier than others to get to work properly
  • Data & MMS may not work correctly if you cannot edit the APN settings. Doing so requires jailbreaking on the iPhone & may require rooting on an Android phone.
  • Blackberry's will work, but you will not have MMS or any Blackberry services (bbm, push email, native web browser)
  • You cannot use a GSM/CDMA Blackberry (Verizon) since it does not have the proper GSM frequences
  • 4g LTE will not work at all on any phone

Phone Keeps Turning Off

Posted: 04 Feb 2013 01:36 PM PST

I've had my phone for about a year now, give or take. Here lately, it's been turning itself off randomly, as if it went dead. However, when I turn it back on, it usually comes back on with a full charge. What could be causing this? Is it just time for a new phone?

Info: Samsung Galaxy S4 Will Come Out in April

Posted: 01 Feb 2013 07:35 PM PST

 :smart: Source from the British large retailer indicated that Samsung would release the expected new flagship Galaxy S 4 in between April 15th to April 22th. Before, this source has released the correct release date of iPad Mini and iPhone, so the reliability of this information is very high. In addition, Samsung will not unveil the Galaxy S 4 in the MWC in the next month, but will hold an independent conference in March. According to the former rumors, Samsung Galaxy S 4 will be equipped with a 4.99-inch Super AMOLED touch screen, and the screen resolution can reach at 1920 x 1080 pixels. As to the processor, it will be latest 1.8GHz Exynos Octa 5. The RAM will be at 2GB, and the ROM will be available with 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. I can accept 4.99-inch, and look forward to its emergence ....

I solved my problem

I was complaining a while back how quickly the battery depleted in my Samsung C414 , well I don't have a problem any longer. I bought a LG A341 phone and the battery in this phone depletes very slowly.

Technical question about my SIM card and received SMS sent to someone else!

Posted: 30 Jan 2013 01:10 AM PST

Hi guys,

I have a wird question.
I have bought Nokia N95 from ebay as second hand phone.
I turned on my phone and checked everything, looked fine.
After 30 minutes I put in my Orange SIM card, after this my phone got network connection (mobile range) and .... I got SMS!

... But this SMS was not for me! Received SMS has been sent to previous owner who had T-mobile Sim Card!
Moreover, this 'not my' SMS was quite long (consist 7 times SMS per 160 signs).

I was wondering about this case. If this SMS has been stucked in phone memory, I should got it after reboot without SIM card (my new one) - am I right? but I got him until I put my orange SIM.
Do you know what happened? Could you please explain me technical site? Thx in advance!

I have Nokia N95.
After first turn on - Inbox was completely empty.
