Cell Phone News and Reviews

could someone help me in choosing a cell phone?

hi, i'm looking to buy a new phone but I'm having trouble trying to decide. I've looked at countless buying guides and such, but my head is spinning with all this technical jargon. I don't know much about gadgets, cell phone technology, etc. So, I don't really know where to start when looking for a cell phone. I also have a few issues that I'm unsure of. If someone could help me out, I'd appreciate it. Here's what I'm looking for:

1. A good GPS system. This is pretty much the primary reason why I want a new phone. I'm moving to a new place so an accessible easy-to-use GPS would be perfect.

2. Compact. I hate bulky phones that make you feel like you got a brick in your pocket. Not too much of a big deal, but a thin, light phone would be a plus.

3. International sim card. Now, I'm not too sure how this works. I'm in the Philippines right now, and I'm moving to the USA. So, I don't know if I should buy a phone here, then buy a US sim card when I get there, or buy an international sim card or what. Any suggestions?

4. Easy interface. I've been using a cell phone that has a frustrating as hell interface, so I'd really like a phone that's easy and simple to use. I also want a phone with a great music player (easy interface).

5. Smartphone. I'm not too sure if I want a smartphone, but I think it's the best bet seeing as I'll mostly be using my phone for work. Mostly, I'm gonna use my phone for the GPS, internet browsing, sending/checking email, writing/editing documents, and music (aside from calling and texting of course), so I'm thinking a 3G or 4G smartphone is the best option. Frankly, I'm not even sure of the difference, haha. Also, I'm thinking of getting a macbook so is that enough reason to get an iphone? are the icloud and other features (what are they anyway) worth it?

6. I don't have a specific brand/OS in mind, mostly because the whole thing is kinda confusing. I don't really get the difference between, say, an iphone or an Android phone or a Windows phone. So, I'm not really particular on any of this. Although, I'm a bit partial to a windows phone, because I have an Xbox Live account. But how exactly does that work on my phone? what features does it have?

7.Storage. I might be storing a lot of music, videos, and documents on my phone so the bigger the better. I don't really need 60gb per say. but around 16-32gb would be fine.

8. Durability. I'm extremely clumsy and I drop my things all the time. So a phone that at least doesn't break easily would be great. An extremely durable phone would be ideal though.

9. The other things don't matter too much to me, things like design, battery life (unless it's ridiculously bad), camera, apps etc. I'm a bit interested in apps though, I might be interested in some games, so that might be a plus. What phones have the most useful/interesting apps anyway? Price is not much of a deciding factor, but of course, I don't want to spend too much. Problem is, I don't really know how much is "too much." haha.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, I'd really appreciate any help.

Super durable smart phone? Black Berry? Please help... Need gps, internet, durability...

Logistics! Logistics! Logistics!

Walked around for two hours last night looking for a decent place to eat. I have been against smart phones bc I am really hard on my stuff. I hike and have a million outdoor hobbies.

Me and a wing had three 8's receptive sets. Neither of us wanted to insta date bc we weere starving. GPS would of fixed this.

I'm a big advocate of taking wing girls who can turn into an SNL. Had one set up, she canceled, didn't make back up plans. A SHB sent me an email on the place she was hangging out at all night. Lost her number couldn't access my email. A smart phone would of SNL an SHB fml :(.

I need a smart phone that is super durable. Which Black Berry is the most durable? Is there anything more durable than a Blackberry.

I want a GPS system for walking/driving. I want to be able to save my vehicle as a point to find it later, view lat and lan areas, as well as save other important points. Also want it to work for driving so a Taxi can't rip me off by going the long way.

My one friend uses his GPS on silent when with a girl. He has her drive and she usually finds it interesting that he looks like he knows his way around. I would prefer a turn by turn with street names out loud.

I don't need crazy fancy, crazy fast, just need it for logistical purposes. It would also be nice to be able to google stuff when in field.

I have T-Mobile right now............. Want unlimited talk, text, and decent ammount of internet minutes. Any ideas???
