Posted: 07 Aug 2012 03:04 AM PDT Hi, I have a pantech Link P7040 and have a that started about 3-4 weeks ago. I can only receive pictures that do NOT have text associated with them. If text is part of the message, I get a white screen with data information and then it fails to download the image. I contacted AT&T about this on (2) different occasions. they had me go to an authorized AT&T location and get a new sim card. This did not work so they got me a warranty replacement phone. The same ting happens with this phone. Any help? Thanks, Tom
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean proven carrying rough but working code for multi-user support Posted: 07 Aug 2012 12:31 AM PDT Attachment 50958 If there's ever been a persistent gripe among families sharing mobile devices, it's been the absence of multiple user profiles -- hand that iPad or Nexus 7 to Junior and you may have to play a spot-the-differences game when it comes back. Some long overdue testing of previously found code references in Jelly Bean shows that Google, at least, has explored ending that anxiety over who uses the family gadgets. Command-line code in AOSP-based versions of Android 4.1 will let you create a separate guest profile, complete with its own lock screen security, home screen layout and limited settings. To say that the code is unpolished would be an understatement, however. Apps and even some notifications cross over from the main account, which could prove more than a little embarrassing if the hardware is left in the wrong hands. At least it's easy to revert back, as the instructions (and video after the break) show. The real challenge will be waiting to see when -- or really, if -- Google gets to finishing multi-user code and turns that Nexus 7 into the communal tablet we want it to be. source:pandaapp
Posted: 06 Aug 2012 11:33 PM PDT Hi. i've accidentally dropped my phone, Sony Erricson ELM into a toilet today at school, i quickly got it out and wrapped it in my jumper, it was still working then so i thought it was fine after wrapping it, then it just had a plain blank white screen, so i took the battery out and tried to turn it back on, i didn't, so now at school i've had it drying the water out of in the sun, but it still doesn't work, it's now in a sealy bag of rice, just the phone, (not the sim card or battery). CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME, I LIKE THIS PHONE AND DON'T WANT ANOTHER ONE
