Transferring Media Files from a Windows Computer:

  1. Establish a connection between your smartphone and PC via USB
  2. Drag the "Notification" bar down if necessary, and tap "Media device (MTP)"
  3. On your computer, in the AutoPlay window, select "Open device to view files"
  4. Open the "Phone" storage
  5. Open a new Windows Explorer window, and browse to where the desired media files are stored on your PC
  6. Copy the files and paste them on your phone's storage. NOTE: ringtones should go in the "Ringtones" folder, notification sounds in "Notifications" etc. If these folders are missing from the phone's root directory, create them manually

  1. While on the home screen, press the "All apps" icon

  1. From the home screen, tap "All apps"

Decreasing Screen Brightness and Adjusting Timeout Duration:

  1. While on the home screen, press the "Menu" key
  2. Tap "System settings"
  3. Tap "Display" under "Device"
  4. Select "Brightness"
  5. Uncheck the "Automatic brightness" check box
  6. Drag the brightness slider to the left and set it to a lower level
  7. Tap "OK" to confirm
  8. In the "Display" menu, tap "Sleep"
  9. Select a lower value, such as "15 seconds"

Switching from a Live Wallpaper to a Static One:

  1. Press the "Menu" key while viewing the home screen
  2. Tap "Wallpaper"
  3. Select the preferred wallpaper option, excluding "Live Wallpapers"
  4. Browse through the wallpapers / images, select the desired one and tap "Set wallpaper". (NOTE: if you've picked a photo from the gallery or other sources, you might need to crop it before applying it)
