- Tap "New"
- Choose the account to sync the contact with. NOTE: if the desired account is not available, tap "Add new account" and follow the on-screen instructions to add it
- Type in the contact's name in the appropriate box
- Tap "Next"
- Enter the contact's phone number. If necessary, edit the type of phone number by tapping "Mobile"
- Tap "Next" and if necessary, enter any additional information for the contact
- When ready, tap "Save"
Importing Contacts from the SIM Card: - Open the "People" application
- Tap the "Menu" icon depicting three vertical dots
- Tap "Import / Export" > "Import from SIM card"
- Select the location where you want to import the contacts, such as "Phone" or "Google"
- Select the contacts that you wish to import, or tap "Select all"
- Tap "Import" > "Yes"
- When completed, you should see the "Contact Imported" message on-screen
Exporting Contacts to the SIM Card: - Tap the "People" icon located on the home screen
- Tap the "Menu" icon
- Select "Import / Export" > "Export to SIM card"
- Choose the contacts that you wish to export, or tap "Select all"
- Tap "Export" > "Yes". A "Contacts Exported" message should appear
Importing Contacts from the SD Card: - Open the "People" app
- Tap "Menu" > "Import / Export" > "Import from SD card"
- Choose where you want to import the contacts. "Phone" or "Google"
- Mark the contacts that you want to import. Optionally, tap "Select all"
- Tap "Import" > "Yes"
Exporting Contacts to the SD Card: - Launch the "People" application and press the "Menu" icon
- Tap "Import / Export" > "Export to SD card"
- Select the contacts that you want to export
- Alternatively, tap "Select all" if you wish to export all the contacts
- Tap "Export" > "Yes"
- Enter a name for the file and tap "OK"
Deleting a Contact: - While on the home screen, tap "People"
- From the list of contacts, tap and hold the one that you want to delete
- Tap "Delete contact" and confirm by tapping "Yes"
Adding a Contact to Speed Dial: - Tap the "Phone" icon located on the home screen
- Press the "menu" icon depicting three vertical dots
- Tap "Speed dial" and select the dial pad number that you wish to assign
- Choose the contact that you want to assign to the previously selected dial pad number
Contact Group Management Creating a Contact Group: - Open the "People" application
- Access the "Groups" tab
- Press the "Menu" icon and tap "New group"
- Type in a name for the group
- Optionally, set a custom ringtone for this specific group
- Tap "Save" when ready
Adding Contacts to an Existing Caller Group: - From the "People" app, go to the "Groups" tab
- Select the group that you want to add contacts to
- Press the "Menu" icon
- Tap "Add members" and select the desired contacts

The good news however, is that you can still block calls on the device using third party applications, such as " Call Blocker" or similar. These apps usually offer a wide range of options, including the ability to block private or unknown numbers, to black list people, block messages and more. Call Forwarding Forwarding All Calls (Unconditional): - While viewing the home screen, tap the "Phone" icon
- Tap the "Menu" icon located at the bottom of the screen
- Tap "Settings" > "Call forwarding" > "Always forward"
- Type in the phone number that you want to forward the calls to. Alternatively, you can tap the "Contacts" icon and choose a number from your contacts list
- Tap "Enable"
Forwarding Some Calls (Conditional): - Press the "Phone" icon located on the home screen
- Tap the "Menu" icon
- Tap "Settings" > "Call" > "Call forwarding"
- Under "Forward if", select either "Busy", "Unanswered" or "Unreachable"
- Enter or edit the phone number that you wish to forward the calls to, or tap the "Contacts" icon and select a contact from your list
- Tap "Update"
Cancelling Call Forwarding: - While viewing any home screen, tap the "Phone" icon
- Tap "Menu" > "Settings" > "Call forwarding"
- Tap "Always forward" and select "Disable"
Call Log and Touch Tones Viewing and Resetting the Call Log: - Open the "Phone" application
- Go to the "Call Log" tab
- To view a call log entry's details, tap it
- To clear the call log, tap the "Menu" icon > "Clear call log" and tap "OK" to confirm
Enabling or Disabling Touch Tones When Dialing (DTMF): - Press the "Menu" button while viewing a home screen
- Tap "System settings"
- Go to "Device" and tap "Sound"

- Tap "Settings"
- Under "Personal", tap "Backup & reset"
- To back up account data, various settings and Wi-Fi passwords to the Google servers, check "Back up my data"
- Mark the "Automatic restore" option to restore backed up settings and app data when re-installing your applications
Backing Up Contacts to an Account: - While on the home screen, tap "All Apps"
- Tap "Settings" > "Accounts"
- Select the account that you wish to sync the contacts with
- Tap the "Menu" icon depicting three vertical dots
- Tap "Sync now"
Backing Up Media Files on a Computer: - Use the USB cable to establish a connection between your phone and computer
- On your handset, tap "Media sync (MTP)"
- On your computer, navigate to your phone's internal storage
- Copy the desired files or folders
- Navigate to where you wish to back up the files on your computer and paste them
- Once finished, click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon located in the system tray
- Click "Safely Remove Mass Storage Device" and confirm with "OK"
- You can now disconnect your smartphone from your PC
Restoring App Data and Contacts: NOTE: Using the back up method described above, your application data and contacts will be automatically restored once you sign in with the Google account on which the data is backed up. Simply go to " Settings" > " Accounts" and add your account, and then enable syncing with your device. Restoring Media Files from a Computer: - Establish a connection between your smartphone and computer via USB
- On your smartphone, tap select "Media sync (MTP)" when prompted
- Open a Windows Explorer window and navigate to where your files are stored on the computer
- Copy the files, and navigate to your phone's storage

- Tap "Settings"
- Under "Device", tap "Battery"
- Tap "Brightness" and drag the brightness slider to the left, to a lower level
- Tap "OK" > "Screen timeout"
- Select a lower timeout duration, such as "15 seconds"
Disabling Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot: If left operational while not in use, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS can have a big impact on a smartphone's battery life. It's always a good idea to disable these features whenever possible. - From the home screen, tap the "All Apps" icon
- Tap "Settings" > "Tethering & Networks"
- Tap "Mobile Hotspot"
- Clear the check box associated with "Mobile Hotspot"
- Press the "Back" button twice to reach the "Settings" menu
- Under "Personal", tap "Location access"
- Clear the check box next to "GPS satellites"
- Return to the home screen and drag the "Status" bar down
- Tap the switches associated with "Wi-Fi" and "Bluetooth" in order to disable these features

- Select the app that you wish to change how it functions
- Tap "Disable", or alternatively, tap "Uninstall" and remove the app completely
