SciPhone i68 4g one way communication with Pioneer DEH-7300BT over Bluetooth

Posted: 01 Nov 2011 01:22 PM PDT

Hello out there. I am new to this forum. I have an iPhone 4 knock-off describing itself as SciPhone i68 4G
I recently "upgraded" the car audio from the standard Kia unit to a Pioneer DEH-7300BT and now I cannot get the Bluetooth to work properly.
It was fine with the Kia standard radio and it also works via my Tom-tom GPS. But with the new unit the radio is interrupted OK on incoming or outgoing calls, and the person at the other end can hear me very clearly, (a massive improvement over the Kia or Tom-tom,) but the one big downfall is that I cannot hear anything from the caller. I cannot hear conversation or even the ringing or dialing tones.
I took it back to the dealer and we had a similar problem with an HTC phone. But then they tried an iPhone 4G and my old Nokia and they were both OK. The dealer (Auto Temp Air and Sound in south Calgary) now insists there is nothing wrong with the radio and say there is nothing else they can do.
I phoned Pioneer and they say that since my phone is not listed in the chip set of recognised phones, there is nothing they can suggest.
So now over to you guys. Is there a firmware upgrade or setting that I need?
Yours hopefully, MAC
