| Questions about cell phone batteries Posted: 12 Jul 2014 05:18 AM PDT I want to know if my understanding about Li-ion batteries used in cell phones is correct. Please dispute or validated the following: Li-ion batteries should be fully charged before first using them in a cell phone. Li-ion batteries do not store a memory, so there's no need to fully charge/discharge them every time Li-ion batteries cannot be overcharged while charging in a cell phone because the cell phone automatically shuts down the charging when the voltage reaches the limits of the battery. |
