Using iTunes:

NOTE: If you have iTunes installed on your computer, then you can use the application to sync the contacts stored on your iPhone with a Google account. Afterwards, the account can be re-synced with the ZTE ZMAX, and the contacts should be easily transferred. For this method your computer needs to be connected to the Internet

  1. Open iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to the PC using the USB cable
  3. Once connected, the iPhone will appear in iTunes
  4. Access the phone's summary page and go to the "Info" tab
  5. Mark the "Sync Contacts With" check box
  6. From the drop-down menu, select "Google Contacts"
  7. Enter your Google account's log in credentials, or alternatively, click "Configure" and select an existing account from the list (if applicable)
  8. To begin the sync, click "Apply" in iTunes
  9. On the ZTE ZMAX, register the same account as the one used in iTunes
  10. Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android smartphone

Using iCloud:

NOTE: If you've used the iCloud backup service on your iPhone prior to finding this guide, then your iPhone contacts should already be backed up on your iCloud account. Using a computer with Internet access, you can sign in to your iCloud account, and export the backed up contacts in the form of a VCF file for Android use:

  1. Open the Internet browser on your computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
  3. Click "Contacts" and select the contacts you want to export
  4. Click the cog wheel icon and select "Export vCard"
  5. Wait for the vCard to be downloaded on your computer
  6. Once the file has been obtained, import it to "Google Contacts"
  7. Alternatively, connect the ZTE ZMAX to your computer and transfer the file to the phone's storage / SD card. Then, open the "Contacts" app, press "Menu" > "Import / Export" > "Import from storage" > "OK" and follow any additional steps that may follow

Using "My Contacts Backup":

NOTE: If using a computer with Internet access isn't an option for you, then you can transfer your iPhone contacts using various third party apps like "My Contacts Backup". This is an iOS app that can back up and transfer your contacts via email, in the form of a VCF file. To do so:

  1. Visit the App Store and install "My Contacts Backup" on your iPhone
  2. Open the application and tap "Backup"
  3. After you've created the file, tap "Email" to compose a new email
  4. Attach the VCF file to the email and send it to your own Gmail address
  5. Switch to the ZTE ZMAX and open the email containing the attachment
  6. Download the attached file and import it using the "Contacts" app

Using "Send Anywhere":

NOTE: Last but not least, you can use a different third party app in order to transfer your contacts: Send Anywhere. This is an iOS and Android third party app that can send contacts and other file types, cross-platform, via a P2P connection. As such, this method does not require access to a computer.

  1. Install "Send Anywhere" on your ZTE ZMAX from the Google Play Store
  2. On the iPhone, install the same application via the App Store
  3. Open the app on both handsets
  4. Switch to the iPhone and tap "Send"
  5. Tap "Contacts" and select the contacts you wish to transfer
  6. Tap "Send" and then select a method of transfer. Tapping "Receive" on the ZTE ZMAX allows you to commence the transfer once you enter the randomly generated code from the iPhone. You can also tap "Generate QR Code" on the iPhone, and scan the QR code with the ZMAX's camera to begin the transfer
